A sunset proposal in Old San Juan, right by Castillo San Cristóbal.
He was nervous. Naturally.
But everything had already been planned.
The Planning
We stayed in constant communication leading up to the proposal.
Where to stand.
Where I would be.
What it would feel like.
So when the moment came, he didn’t have to think.
Just the moment.
Just her.
The Moment
One second they were just walking.
The next… he was on one knee.
That’s when I hold my breath.
That’s when instinct takes over.
Not to interrupt, not to direct —
but to preserve it exactly as it feels.
The Yes
When she said yes, everything softened.
I stepped back.
Let them exist in it.
No pressure.
No poses.
Just them.
The After
Then we kept going.
Not chasing perfect photos —
but real ones.
The kind you feel when you look back.
Your Turn
If you’re thinking about proposing in Puerto Rico, it doesn’t have to feel complicated.
You don’t need to know where to stand or what to do.
That’s my job.
Your only job is to be present.
